Want to level up your Disneyland day? Pair the Disability Access Service (DAS) with Lightning Lane for the ultimate stress-free, line-skipping adventure! While DAS gives your family flexibility and avoids long waits, Lightning Lane lets you reserve faster access to top attractions—and yes, you can use both simultaneously. Schedule a DAS return time for one ride, grab a Lightning Lane for another, and keep the magic moving. It’s a winning combo that helps you experience more rides with fewer meltdowns, more snack breaks, and even a fireworks finale—all without feeling rushed. Trust us, it’s the ultimate Disneyland hack!
Here’s how it works:
Lightning Lane allows you to reserve access to certain popular rides and attractions, skipping the standby line. It’s a separate service from the DAS program, but here’s the beauty of it: You can use both! If you’ve already registered for DAS and you’ve been issued a return time for a ride, you can still purchase Lightning Lane access for another attraction. This means you can space out your rides and experience more of the park without waiting in the long lines that can overwhelm your child.
For example, you can schedule a DAS return time for an attraction, while also securing a Lightning Lane spot for another ride. The Lightning Lane gives you an even quicker way to access rides, and the DAS gives your family the flexibility to experience the park without long waits. It’s a perfect combo for families with children who need more time between rides or who may get overwhelmed with standing in line for extended periods.
This combination allows you to maximize the number of attractions your child gets to experience, all while reducing the stress and exhaustion that can come with long queues.
Our experience using Lightning Lane and DAS was incredible! We were able to schedule rides with both programs seamlessly. As soon as we finished a ride using DAS, we immediately scheduled another available to DAS rides and headed toward the ride that was booked on the Lightning Lane pass. Once we checked in to the Lightning Land ride, we scheduled our next ride on Lightning Lane. By using both DAS and Lightning Lane, we were able to get on at least one ride per hour. This also allowed us to take bathroom breaks, grab snacks, rest, take a picture with Mickey, and enjoy meals without feeling rushed. During our last visit, we managed to experience 13 rides and still had time to watch the fireworks show at night!
So, while Lightning Lane gives you a speedier ride experience, DAS gives your child the time and flexibility they need. Pairing the two? That’s a Disneyland pro tip worth trying!
